Monday Finish

Woods is having a good week in La Jolla, CA.  A Saturday weather delay is causing a Monday finish for the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open for the second time in 2013.  However, all the stops, starts, and long days are not slowing Tiger down.  Woods has a 6 shot lead at -17 going into the last day with 11 holes to finish.  Nick Watney and Brandt Snekeder are tied for second at -11.  Torrey Pines is the site of Tiger's incredible US Open win in 2008.  The positive vibes of the course are coming back.

Nike is enjoying the play of Tiger and Watney.  Nick Watney is a new Nike player.  Unlike, Rory McIlroy, Watney is transitioning well into the Nike equipment.  Both Watney and Woods had to bundle up on the California coast.  Temperatures stayed cool throughout the long Sunday.  Also, interesting, Tiger did not change into his typical red and black for the last round.  He chose to stay in the same outfit he wore in the morning.  Tiger will typically change into his red and black for all final rounds even when played immediately after the finishing of round 3.  Woods rarely ventures into stripes or patterns.  Tiger likes his solids.  Tiger looked nice and solid for his play Sunday.  A gray cashmere Nike sweater was a must for the cool temperatures.  Watney was more adventurous.  Watney chose plaid pants and a horrible Nike hat.  Please Nike get ride of the large white Nike cap with large swoosh. I hate the fit of this hat.  I have seen this the past couple weeks on the European tour.   The black sweater with a light blue polo finish off Watney's outfit.  I like the the peak of blue through the sweater with the collar.  The light blue polo is a good choice for the pants.
